On Thursday, October 6th from 12:00-12:30 PM, (MST), the Take Meds Seriously campaign hosted a twitter chat featuring Greg Fabisiak from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. Greg shared information and answered questions about the upcoming DEA “Got Drugs?” Medication Take-Back on Saturday, October 22nd from 10:00 am – 2:00pm. Generation Rx Wellness Event
The wellness event was held at the East Middle School in Aurora on September 8th as part of the parent/teacher conference. Generation Rx is comprised of students from the UC Denver Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences who are members of the American Pharmacist Association Academy of Student Pharmacists. Their mission is to education people of all ages about the potential dangers of misusing prescription medications.
International Overdose Awareness Day – August 31st
International Overdose Awareness Day began in 2001. Many community organizations hold events on August 31st each year to raise awareness and remember those who have been lost to drug overdose.
