DEA National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day – April 29, 2017

The Drug Enforcement Administration’s next National Prescription Drug Take-Back Event will take place on Saturday, April 29, 2017 from 10 am to 2 pm.

Dozens of Colorado police departments and sheriff’s offices will participate in this event.

TMSChat – October 6, 2016

On Thursday, October 6th from 12:00-12:30 PM, (MST),  the Take Meds Seriously campaign hosted a twitter chat featuring Greg Fabisiak from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. Generation Rx Wellness Event

The wellness event was held at the East Middle School in Aurora on September 8th as part of the parent/teacher conference.

Generation Rx is comprised of students from the UC Denver Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences who are members of the American Pharmacist Association Academy of Student Pharmacists. Their mission is to education people of all ages about the potential dangers of misusing prescription medications.

 

 

International Overdose Awareness Day – August 31st

International Overdose Awareness Day began in 2001. Many  community organizations hold events on August 31st each year to raise awareness and remember those who have been lost to drug overdose.

Las Animas County Fair

The annual Las Animas County Fair kicked off a fun week-long fair Monday, July 27, 2015. TakeMedsSeriously.org was present all week.

Juneteenth Music Festival

TakeMedsSeriously.org was the presenting sponsor for Denver’s Juneteenth Music Festival on Saturday, June 20, 2015. From Juneteenth’s website, the mission of the festival is to “celebrate freedom by engaging the community with the historical significance of Juneteenth; to further strengthen ties between Denver, Colorado’s Historic Five Points Neighborhood and its neighbors.”

Denver’s Cinco de Mayo
